Hey guys! Animal shelters in Japan have always seemed a bit scarce, and there isn't as much emphasis on rescuing pets as we have here in the US, so I'm happy to have been introduced to one of Japan's no-kill rescue shelters, Heart Tokushima:

They rescue animals for the entire island of Shikoku, and it was founded by a Canadian! Right now they're raising funds to build new a new shelter for their cats:
